"Last week's State of the City address from Mayor Borowsky provided some hope for our city's future, but I fear her remarks glossed over far too many of the glaring potholes that have opened up on the council over the past year.
Much of the council's tenure has been marked by conflict, high-profile staff suspensions, stalled initiatives, and political infighting.
Residents are frustrated with both political parties. They are judging council members' leadership not by speeches but by their ability to overcome gridlock and achieve meaningful outcomes that benefit all of us.
We need plans for how our leaders intend to work together to solve Scottsdale's challenges. When I am on the city council, I'll focus on building bridges instead of pointing fingers and getting results for everyone in our city.”
