Nearly All Ballots Counted: Zubia Campaign Confident It Has Secured Runoff Spot

SCOTTSDALE - With nearly all ballots counted and every update reinforcing the campaign's position among the top candidates, the Zubia campaign is confident it has earned a place in the Scottsdale City Council runoff. The campaign appreciates the election process and looks forward to formal certification while continuing to focus on earning the support of Scottsdale voters ahead of the November runoff.

Raoul Zubia made the following statement:

"Thank you, Scottsdale. While the results aren't final yet, I'm confident enough to say we're likely headed for the runoff. I appreciate you turning out and voting for a future we all deserve. I want to thank my supporters, endorsers, and our gracious donors. But mostly I want to thank my partner, Karen, who has been by my side throughout this grueling process.

"I also want to thank my campaign manager Mary Fortney, my strategist and communications director Matt Grodsky, Whitney Jennings, Whit Johnson, and our fearless volunteers across the city for their work and belief in this campaign.

"This was just the first step; we have to finish the job this November. I’m going to need your help to get over the finish line so we can restore commonsense to city council. This will need to be a single-shot effort, as it will very likely just be me fighting against a handful of previously and currently elected extremists. Let’s get this done. Thank you!

ABOUT RAOUL ZUBIA:

Raoul Zubia is a lifelong resident of South Scottsdale, a proud graduate of Coronado High School, and a candidate for Scottsdale City Council. Scottsdale is one of the best places to live in America, and Raoul is running to keep it that way by protecting neighborhoods, managing growth responsibly, and restoring professionalism to City Council. He believes the city needs leadership that listens, plans, and acts, while honoring the generations of community spirit that built Scottsdale.
