Barry Graham's Desperate Campaign Tactics Raise Serious Questions
SCOTTSDALE - With Election Day approaching, Scottsdale City Council candidate Raoul Zubia is calling out Barry Graham's increasingly desperate campaign tactics, including the circulation of apparently AI-generated political advertisements and questionable claims about campaign sign vandalism.
“Barry Graham is getting desperate, and it's showing,” said Zubia. “When the facts don't support his narrative, he apparently resorts to manufactured images and political theater.”
Graham's latest attacks come after a series of setbacks:
Proposition 490 upheld: The Arizona Court of Appeals upheld the voter-approved measure Zubia helped develop to protect Scottsdale's parks, preserve, and public safety—a measure Graham opposed.
Water narrative unraveling: Graham continues to downplay concerns about Scottsdale's long-term water security rather than engage in serious planning.
Fabricated political ads: Graham has circulated what appear to be AI-generated images depicting nonexistent PAC advertisements supporting Zubia, despite no established evidence of comparable outside spending in the general election.
Questionable vandalism videos: Graham's campaign has promoted suspicious videos of alleged sign vandalism in broad daylight, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
“Are these legitimate incidents, or is someone manufacturing outrage? We don't know. But Scottsdale voters deserve answers, not another political stunt,” Zubia said.
Zubia noted that when his own campaign discovered it had inadvertently used an AI-generated image, it immediately removed the advertisement.
“That's what accountability looks like. Barry Graham should try it,” Zubia added.
“Scottsdale deserves leadership focused on water security, protecting neighborhoods, preserving open space, and restoring civility to City Hall. I'm fighting for Scottsdale's future. Barry Graham is fighting to control the narrative. Desperation is not leadership.”
